DOMINATING EFFORT BY HORSEMEN AS THEY BEAT THE SKYHAWKS 74-24

Nampa, ID -  Thursday, April 20th, the Idaho Horsemen hosted the Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks in their second match of the 2023 season.  The first match was a close one with the Skyhawks outscoring the Horsemen 38-34.  

The Idaho Horsemen was looking for payback as they felt they should of left the April 20th game with a win in the win column.  These 2 teams has been battling since the AWFC's inaugural year and everyone was looking forward to another barn burner.  

The Horsemen had other plans coming into this game with their dominating defense containing the Skyhawks elusive Quarterback, Kordell Provchy .  The pressure was tremendous and Provchy found himself on the ground on many occasions and only getting out of the pocket twice in the game!  One the Skyhawks first possession, Provchy threw his first interception to cornerback Nick Cade putting the Horsemen at midfield to go in for the first score of the game. (0-7 Horsemen)  On the pursuing kickoff, the Skyhawks returner fumbled the ball giving the Horsemen the ball at midfield once again.  The scored on the very next play with a pass from Austin Schaffer to running back Rashad Flanders (0-13 Horsemen).  On the first play of Wenatchee second possession, QB Provchy received an high snap fumbling the ball, as Horsemen linebacker Brennyn Dunn jumps on it giving the ball to the Horsemen once again.  The Horsemen scored on the second play of this possession with a touchdown pass from Austin Schaffer to wideout Ryan Stokes.

The Horsemen's showed up and showed out, dominating this matchup of rivals 24-74 Horsemen.  This moves the Horsemen to 3-1 on the season
