Letter from the Commissioner

Boise, Idaho -
 Letter from the Commissioner

The American West Football Conference is brand new, very close to kick off and as Commissioner I can sense fan energy escalating! Our teams report brisk ticket sales in every city and fans sharing their excitement for the first game.

...

In other news, an original late attempt to enter the AWFC by Sacramento has met with venue design inequalities and logistical delays. Therefore the Sacramento team will not be on the 2019 schedule. The AWFC will return to its original format of having four teams and all teams will still play a six game home schedule. The schedule is a similar model to the NHL (National Hockey League) and MLB (Major League Baseball) where member teams play each other with more frequency which intensifies games and amplifies rivalries.

The big AWFC 2019 season kick off is Saturday Mar 23, 2019 and it will be very interesting to see who our first winners will be and which fans are the loudest!  The Reno Express will host the Tri-Cities Fire in the Reno Events Center and the Idaho Horsemen will host the Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks in the 12,279 seat Ford Idaho Center.

I challenge the fans in both cities to fill their arenas, and enjoy the close, fast action of Professional Indoor Football on the inaugural night of play for the American West Football Conference, Mar 23, 2019. Get your tickets now, fill your venue and enjoy some history!

 Best Regards,

 Don Miller
Commissioner,
 American West Football Conference
