2020 AWFC SEASON UPDATE

July 31, 2020  - The American West Football Conference would like to announce the very tough decision to cancel the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lack of progress to lift mandates and move towards allowing large gatherings, such as sporting events.

The AWFC has attempted to hold off from making this tough decision and wait this virus out, but as we stand today it appears the start of a season after this point would take us to the end of the year.  Therefore possibly dealing with future bad weather conditions and  giving our member teams no preparation time for the 2021 season.

As we would love to kick off this year, the health and safety of our players, coaches, staff, and fans is our #1 priority.  There are still many unknowns on how this pandemic will subside.  As public gatherings of 250 people or more will come after the 4th stage of getting back to normalcy, we understand that it will take some time to reach this point.

Our member teams will use this time to prepare for 2021 and continue on with the growth of our league with the start of our second season.

Please stay tuned for more information
