The Storm gets much needed win to keep Playoff bid alive

by AWFC Insider

Redmond OR - The (3-4) Oregon high Desert Storm hosted the (3-3) Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks last night with AWFC playoff bids on the line.  The Skyhawks got off to a quick start with a blocked kick causing a safety getting on the scoreboard first.  The Storm bounced back scoring the first & second touchdown of the game. The second point after attempt was once again blocked and taken back for a Skyhawk score, bringing the score to 4 to 13 Oregon.  The Storm went to hold on for the win 27-16 keeping them alive for a playoff bid.  Oregon will now need the Idaho Horsemen to beat the Skyhawks and then beat the Horsemen themselves to make the postseason.
