Week 7 Matchup: Rush vs Storm

by Brandon Tate

The Tri-City Rush are currently 4-0 and hold a commanding lead on first place in the AWFC a situation similar to what the Rush saw last year heading into Oregon.

In 2021 the Rush were 4-0 coming off pummeling victories over the Storm, Canines and Skyhawks. Heading up to Oregon they were a heavy favorite and jumped out two a two score lead quickly as they are known to do. However things started to turn in the Storms favor and as time ticked down the Rush found themselves down by 3 needing a field goal to tie. The rush lined up, kicked the ball but it was wide left leaving the Rush with the first lost of their season and there career.

Now in 2022 the Rush must again travel to Oregon and face a storm team that has never lost a regular season game at home. Is this a trap game for the Rush or can there overcome last years mistakes and pull out a win over the #4 ranked Oregon High Desert Storm.
